Worst trip ever. Don't even ask why.

Yeah, this sucks. My first day in Costa Rica and the stupid airport lost my luggage. It was all supposed to be carry-on, but they ran out of room, so I stowed my clothes and personal hygiene stuff. So, here I am, sitting in clothes that I, apparently, have to wear for the next week.

I've been nothing but upset since I left and I was hesitant to go because I knew something like this would happen. I freakin' knew it. And, now that's it's happened, I have no idea what I'm going to do. It's NOT FUN thusfar, but I'm hoping it'll pick up real soon. I'm bored, I'm congested, I have no bug spray, no clothes, no hygiene products, no sunscreen, nothing except my computer, a sketchbook, some pencils, pens, my passport (and other important papers) and my camera. Oh, what a wonderful trip this is turning out to be. 3| I'm not doing this shit again, that's for sure. 

 I'm leaving for study abroad in Costa Rica in less than seven hours. 3: I'm really nervous because it's the first time in seven years I'll have been away from my pets and my family for more than a night. I'll be back in about two weeks.

 This ... is not a good post. 3: I've had a boil since last Thursday night (sometime thereabouts) and it's gotten progressively worse and worse. I've been unable to sit or stand comfortably and even the slightest movement was bringing excruciating pain. It was hell, but, of course, I wouldn't go to the doctor to get checked out. My mom bought some drawing salve and I used it. Just yesterday the boil collapsed ... ew ... and the pain subsided by a whole lot.

Unfortunately, after I cleaned it out I noticed it looked really ... weird. Not just gross and horrible, like some oozing wound that seemed more at home in a horror movie than on the back of my thigh, but really ... strange. I had my sister take a look because she's seen things like that before. She said it looked like it had developed into an ulcer and was infected with staph. I was skeptical at first because I'm always in denial about things regarding my body. I don't like doctors and I won't go to one if I think I can handle the situation myself.

I went to the doctor today and got back about half an hour ago. Needless to say, what I found out is not good news. I have an infected boil. It's deep. Really deep. And so infected I could end up in the hospital in about two days if the antibiotics don't do anything to stop it. I have the largest MRSA (methycillin resistant staphylococcus aureus) infection she said she'd ever seen. She prescribed two antibiotics and pain medicine and I go back in on Monday for the doctor's final decision as to where I'll end up. I've taken my first dose of the antibiotics and I'm hoping for the best. I don't want to end up in the hospital with wound-care nurses packing my ugly friend all day long. D: That doesn't sound like fun to me! Not in the least.

So, I've been ordered to bed rest and no work at least until Monday. I'm very not happy. 3: But my sister's taking me out for ice-cream later on. :3 So I'll have that, I guess. XD

Update on major life: school's alright. I'm not doing well in either my Biostatistics class or my Organic Chemistry (but everyone kinda figured about that last one), but I can't bring myself to care no mores. |3 School's almost over and I can't wait! My coworkers want to go barhopping with me soon. Yay! :3 I'm excited 'cause it'll be the most entertaining thing I've done since ... I dunno ... making toast a few weeks ago? D|

I decided to do yet another one (after spending countless hours farting around the website a few years back) and used my and hi-chans characters from our original role play. :3 Cirrus and Emmit! *clap clap clap* Um ... I threw some random words in with the intention of making a dirty drabble. >3 Didn't quite work the way I wanted it to. So, hi-chan, this is for your amusement! =D *loves*

It's not even that I hate him. He showed me what I could expect of him by cheating and now I don't want anything to do with him. He lied to me and I think I'm justified when I say I can't be expected to roll over and tell him I'm alright with what he did and that, in time, all would be forgiven. I won't forgive him, absolutely not, and I won't get back with him. Definitely no. D< He can't understand that! I don't get what's so hard about it. He did me an injustice and I'm rectifying my own mistake before I get hurt even worse than before. Why can't he move on?! Ugh! This is making me sick to my stomach. 3<

I had a cute dream last night. :3 My family and I were weasels. My parents were black, Michelle was brown, and I was white. Dad was out back chopping up a leftover stump and mom was out harvesting. I wandered outback and sat on the patio, sunning myself for a little while, until a small green bird landed next to me. I went to pick it up, but it flew away, and that was when I realized the entire backyard was full of budgies! =D They were so cute! They were all green, the standard color, and hopped around, tweeting and playing in the birdbath. Dad just kept on chopping wood, but he was smiling and I knew he was thinking about Sunny and Soupy (his two parakeets that died when we moved to Louisiana). I told him 'Look! Look! Parakeets! A whole flock of them! Look, dad!' He didn't say anything, just kept smiling and chopping his wood. I chased the birds, trying to catch them with a white towel that I happened to have with me. I caught a lot of them, one at a time, a just pet them. I thought they would try to bite me, but they didn't. They just laid there, in my paw, and let me pet them and cuddle them. Even with all my jumping and squealing and excitement the whole flock hung around our backyard. It was great. I was so happy, until a pair of male cardinals dropped by and starting trying to kill the parakeets. One of the cardinals tried to drown a parakeet by stepping on its head and keeping it underwater in the bird bath. I saved that one and the cardinal flew away, but before I could stop the other one from doing any damage to the cute little birds ... I woke up.

Even though there was still an angry, little red cardinal beating up innocent green budgies in my dream backyard, I woke up happy. A little tired 'cause I was enjoying myself waaaaay too much last night role playing with Hi-chan, but happy nonetheless. Even though I ended up being late for class. Like ... half an hour late. D: 'Cause I overslept. But my teacher didn't mind that much. She was more like 'D: Where were you?! I didn't think you were coming to class today! Do you have your paper? :3' Of course I had my paper. :3 I was prepared for class! =D Yay!

In other Kat-related news, when I had the two different kinds of flus and was stuck in bed for days I clenched my muscles in my left foot an awful lot without even realizing it. It appears that I've injured them as, whenever I twitch my toes, my muscles spasm and it hurts. D: It  makes me oh-so-sad. That, and my mother and I discovered that my knee never did really heal when I fell at school and got that concussion a while back. I'm unable to put pressure on it. Except for the regular pressure it experiences when I walk. I can't kneel on it, at all, and we're tempted to just go get my whole left leg checked out. >: Although my current money situation won't allow me to afford such luxuries as doctors. D: So I'm stuck with it at least until summer (or I graduate). 3:

The good news, though, is my toes are healing from last Wednesday. :3 Although it looks like the right one'll scar badly 'cause the skin still hasn't grown back on it. Like, at all. It's just a ... thin layer of ... I guess dried tissue. >: It's really ugly, too. Ugh!

Anyway, it's been a good day overall. :3 Even though I couldn't make it to movie night.

Oh! I doodled a Richie! =D Now I'm gonna doodle a Virgil and a Kevin and a Ben! >3 Hooray!

Remember the good ol' days when Kids WB came on all the time and played a plethora of shows that everyone liked to watch? :3 When there was the Miguzi thing on Cartoon Network and Escaflowne played early Saturday mornings alongside Cyber 6 and Cubix? Yeah. The good ol' days. :3

Well, thanks to Hi-chan and our friends over at Disney, I've rekindled a love (that didn't really exist back then) for one of the shows. Static Shock. D8 I'm so ... freakin' into it right now ... it's not even funny. And I'm slowly moving into the comic books, thanks to a few of the communities on lj. >: I guess ... it's not really complaining if I like it, right?

So, thanks, Hi-chan! :3 *loves* My childhood has been restored!! =D And I've already read everything in The Pit, the lj coms, y!gallery, and aff.net. >: So I'm lonely, now. D: Play with me!

Wednesday was a lot of fun, I must say. :3 Even though we didn't get to watch the movie. It was, actually, better than watching two hours of movie then only hanging out for, like, an hour. Three hours of random 'blah' was exactly what I needed to feel the love. n-n So, thanks, Les-lums, for inviting me to go. *loves* I'm gonna want to go this Wednesday, too, if that's alright. Especially since you didn't get to show your movie choice last week.

On another note, I have, finally, gone to the Dark Side. (Yes, they have chocolate milk, but I resisted for so long! I have failed my own teachings.) So, what does this mean for Kat-Kat? Well, it means that Kat-Kat has finally developed an ear for *gulp* rap music and some R&B. D8 Seriously? Yeah. The druggies at work have finally converted me. Not entirely. I still won't really listen to it constantly ... m-mebbe, but I don't mind it one bit, now ('cept for a few songs, at least). If anything, I kinda like listening to it while I work. 3: It's ... kinda weird ... and still very new to me, but I've definitely found some love for this form of music.
